I'm still a girl.

So this is my first blog, woohoo!! I think I have this all figured out now.
I have been trying to get a blog started for around 6 months now but I am so blog impaired that until now it was too confusing (ok, still confusing!) As I am typing this I am wondering what will happen when I push "PUBLISH POST".
Anyways, today I decided that this will be the day I write a blog. I came back and forth to my Mac doing bits at a time so not to overwhelm myself. First off, a title. What would I call it? At this point I was downstairs feeding the girls some delish muffins I made yesterday. Although I love to bake muffins galore, I can't stand all the crumbs on the kitchen floor that cling to my socks. And thus birthed the title "Crumbs on my feet!" Perfect! Basically sums up my life. Great muffins with a little bit of fallout.
I don't know what I am going to do with this blog (I feel so grown up when I say blog!) but I lean towards just sharing the ins and outs of motherhood as I know it. Not gonna sugar coat it. But I have a huge respect for the mamas out there (especially my own!) and I also love to find the humor in all the crazy situations I find myself in.
One of those situations just happened moments ago! Yes, my dear Selina has done it again. She has given herself a hair cut. ARG!!! Her locks have finally become all of the same length, this I have worked so hard at! Ruined!
"Selina!" I said shocked. "Why did you cut your hair?"
"Oh don't worry mom," she replied all nonchalant, "I am still a girl. My hair is still long and I'm not a boy. I'm a princess."
I suppose I'll be spending my time trying to make both side even now. *sigh*

And so to end this blog I will finish with the muffin recipe because I read all sorts of other blogs that have recipes on them and that seems like the cool thing to do.

Apple and Orange Muffins (makes 9)   400F

Chop small apple into little chunks & grate about 1-2 tbsp of orange rind. Mix in bowl with some cinnamon (1/2 tsp)
In another bowl Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, and 2 tsp B. powder.
In a one cup measuring cup add 1/3 cup of oil, 1 egg, and add milk to fill the cup, stir together.
Mix this into flour mixture until just moistened. Add apple stuff to that and fold it in.

Don't forget to grease your muffin tin! I manage to get 9 muffins out of this.

Bake 17 min.  Yep 17, more than 15 less than 20.

Just so I don't get sued right off the get go, I loosely based this recipe on a blueberry muffin recipe I found on allrecipes.com   >:)

Toodles!

oh and a pic of Selina's hair:
